Dear Wells Fargo, I applied for a credit card consolidation loan and fell for a gift card loan scam. The lender said that my credit wasn't that good, so they wanted to make a payment to my Wells Fargo Visa for {$480.00}, and XXXX XXXX for {$190.00} and {$190.00}. He told me that he wanted me to immediately repay the money as a measure of good faith that I wouldn't refuse to make my monthly loan repayment once the loan was disbursed. He also told me that he would provide instructions on how to repay trial deposits once I had received them. I did as the lender asked and repaid the {$480.00} from my Wells Fargo Visa and the {$190.00} and {$190.00} from my XXXX XXXX MasterCard. The deposits were returned on XX/XX/2021 - over 30 days later. The deposits were made from a XXXX XXXX XXXX account. Once I had repaid the trial deposits of {$480.00}, {$190.00} and {$190.00} I stopped communicating with him. I thought that Wells Fargo could perform a search on this XXXX XXXX XXXX account and see if this account had made any other deposits in any other Wells Fargo account.
