Consumer Narrative
To whom it may concern : According to my records, which I sent these letters via certified mail, I first sent Experian a letter, via certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX and it was delivered on XX/XX/XXXX. The letter simply stated that I wanted the following companies investigated, XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX and I wanted to receive a response with how the investigation was completed, who did they talk to, did they write them, was a UDF form used or was it processed through electronic automatic dispute verification? I did not receive a response nor was I alerted through the Experian app that an investigation was opened. So on XX/XX/XXXX, I sent Experian a second letter and the investigation for the following accounts, XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX was opened on XX/XX/XXXX. I politely informed Experian that these accounts were adversely affecting my credit report and costing me money in interest and I simply wanted them to investigate the accuracy of these accounts and to send me the results via mail. On XX/XX/XXXX, the app informed me that the dispute results were ready and that the above referenced accounts were simply updated and verified, nothing else was provide from Experian. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent the 3rd letter, via certified mail, simply stating that I was in disagreement with the items being reported on my credit report, even after the investigation. I asked for the items to be re-investigated immediately because the inaccuracies were highly injurious to my credit rating. Futhermore, I stated that in accordance with The Fair Credit Reporting Act, Public law 91-506, Title VI, Section 611, Subsection A-D, for them to please provide the names and business addresses of each individual with whom they verified the items with. Also to forward me an updated credit report after the investigation was completed and the corrections. I then listed the inaccuracies that were being reported from the 2 items between all 3 of the bureaus which were : XXXX XXXX XXXX Date Opened : Inaccuracy- Difference between your Experian and XXXX Last Reported : Inaccuracy- Difference between your Experian, XXXX and XXXX Date Last Active : Inaccuracy- Difference between your Experian, XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Opened : Inaccuracy- Difference between your Experian and XXXX High Credit : Inaccuracy- Difference between your Experian, XXXX and XXXX Credit Limit : Inaccuracy- Difference between your Experian and XXXX Last Reported : Inaccuracy- Difference between your Experian and XXXX Date Last Active : Inaccuracy- Difference between your Experian, XXXX and XXXX Date of Last Payment : Inaccuracy- Difference between your Experian and XXXX I then stated that because of the inaccuracies that are being reported by Experian, XXXX and/or XXXX are different, this means that those accounts were not properly verified. I then asked to please delete the accounts immediately and/or re-investigate! On XX/XX/XXXX I received an alert through the Experian app that the results from my dispute was ready and after viewing the results it simply stated that the accounts were updated and verified. I did not receive the names or business addresses of the individuals with whom the accounts were verified with. According to the FCRA Rules, FCRA 623 ( b ) ( 2 ) and 611 ( a ) ( 1 ), it states that any information can be disputed and MUST be investigated and if you do not investigate AND respond, the CRA must delete the disputed information from its files. The fact that I received an alert 8 days after the case was opened, one can assume that there was no investigation into the matter. Especially since I have asked for an investigation over and over and also provided the accuracies to Experian, which I shouldn't have to do if a proper investigation was done, but yet these accounts are still being reported on my credit report. I have asked repeatedly for verification that I am responsible for these accounts and I have received nothing but generic responses. I planned on purchasing a home by the end of the year and having this negative accounts on my credit report display a sign of financial trouble, which is not the case for me! I am submitting this complaint due to the lack of investigation into my original disputes for these negative accounts being reported. This is unfair practices by a credit reporting agency with no concern for the credit worthiness of a consumer.
