I closed my checking account prior to XX/XX/2021 and a check was sent dated for XX/XX/2021 in the amount of XXXX. I did not know that I had received the check already in the mail and called Capital one on XX/XX/2021 regarding a possible lost check. Capital one responded appropriately and cancelled the check. The very same day, I found the lost check, and tried to call them back and tell them to stop the previous action of cancelling the check. They mentioned a " back research team '' or " people in the back '' that handle this type of issue and were not able to give me any more help regarding this matter. My main problem, is the amount of time that it took for the corrective actions to be taken and the amount of times in which I had to call them. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called and was told that I needed to wait some more time for the check that was cancelled to be " actually cancelled ''. Could take several business days. Next, I called back on XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that they needed to sent more communication to the " back team '' in order to see about further actions on me receiving a new check or maybe reversing the previous action on the current check. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called yet again and they mentioned that it could take several more business days for the " back team '' to actually get back to the front team. Or some such nonsense as this. Now, on XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with a supervisor who now confirmed that the check was being sent expedited my way. Note, that only after I made this phonecall, was this information relayed that the check was now being sent. Also, I had to talk to two separate people in order to get this information. I would now have to call back on Friday in order to get a tracking number. I received the following reference number for this final interaction which was : XXXX My complaint is that this will take over 3 weeks for a check to be sent because of this other check being cancelled. How is it, with today 's technology, that it should take such a ridiculous amount of time for a check? I do have bills to pay and have plenty of debt and this is not acceptable. I would want actions taken on this company for this inconvenience.
