I refinanced my car with XXXX XXXX and the payoff check has been sent in twice now, neither time has the check been cashed and I've received Calls demanding payment or telling me that my credit score will be compromised and my car repossessed despite the fact that the company is simply not cashing the buyout checks. The first buyout check was sent in XXXX, was not cashed and therefore after a month a stop payment was placed on that check. Another check was sent to them on XXXX and I have confirmed receipt on XXXX from my refinance company who has the tracking information from XXXX that it was delivered. I am told that the hold up is because my refinance company hasn't issued a new check which is false. I also was contacted by Bridgecrest to inform me that the check was received and that there was a {$140.00} or so difference between the check and the actual buyout amount which I paid over the phone and was told that my account was resolved. You can even see on my loan payment history that the buyout check was applied and then removed and further late fees were assessed after that happened as well. My refinance company tells me that they have a number of clients that this very same situation is happening to with regard to refinance from Bridgecrest specifically and frankly it feels like retaliation for refinancing my vehicle. I need this issue to be resolved with no detriment to my credit. I am being fed contradictory information from my original financer ( Bridgecrest ) and my new financer company ( XXXX XXXX ) is very frustrated at this situation as well as they are dealing with a number of accounts experiencing this exact issue.
