Carter-Young Collection Agency sent me a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX stating money is owed on an apartment rental for my ( at the time XXXX student son, which had been paid. My bank sent a letter saying it was paid. No contact was made to me by the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stating any amounts were owed on my son 's account, prior to the Carter-Young collection letter. XX/XX/XXXX : I sent a letter to Carter-Young Agency requesting proof of debt and authorization to by XXXX XXXX to send me a collection notice, via U.S. Postal Service via Certified Mail Receipt XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX signed for receipt of my letter requesting proof of debt. I have Copies of Collection notice, Certified Mail Receipt and signed receipt by XXXX XXXX attached. I was not provided with proof of debt by Carter-Young. The negative reporting is still present and showing on my XXXX, XXXX and XXXX credit bureau reports.
