I began contacting this company to exit forbearance at the end of XXXX XXXX. It's XX/XX/2021. 0 progress has been made. The retroactively added 3 months of late payments during the forbearance period, so we can't refi away from them. A HELOC company said we were in default, but we were never informed of this. I told them I would be leaving the country for weeks leading up to XXXX when I left. While out of the country, they called the XXXX XXXX POLICE on ME, while I told them I was out of the country - who harassed my tenant/future partner on the house. This is absolutely an abuse of taxpayer dollars. Whoever made that call needs to be fired/held accountable. When I returned home in XXXX, I found a letter dated the day they called the police. In it, they threaten my mortgage if a PACE lien is not cleared from the title. ( FHA loan ). In addition, they offered a " trial repayment '' plan in this letter. This is fine, but it started before I returned and no one informed me this was happening to plan for a way to pay it while I was gone ( requires paper checks sent to a US address ). I could have paid anything digitally/bank wire, but I couldn't send a letter from XXXX to XXXX! I opened a CFPB complaint, they said they would have their lawyer contact me to work it out. It's been an additional 2 weeks with no updates or answers to our questions. In the meantime, this means their additional mortgage trail period payment is 16 days late and I still can not get an answer to some basic questions : 1 - I do not know how long the liens will take to be removed from the title. So where does that leave us with the threatening letter? 2 - I do not know if M & T has been paying the escrow - or if we're still in the " special program '' that you never cashed the checks for. If so, we will need the total for our civl trial against XXXX ( CA AG found the contractor guilty criminally ) 3 - If the liens are removed - how long to M & T to adjust the balance owed so we can see the best way forward for us? 4 - what's the status of " missed payments '' during the foreclosure period.
