Consumer Narrative

I rented an apartment 2 years ago. When I cancel my contract I gave the 30 days notice that stipulates in my contract. We vacated the apartment on XX/XX/2019. But paid the month of XX/XX/2019. Anyway. They sent me a letter stating that they were going to used my initial deposit for cleaning purposes and whatever was left they were going to send it in a check to my address. Two years after they called me trying to get money from us. I talked to the collection agency and showed them the final letter of what I paid. Anyway the apartment complex didn't want to give me a copy of the money order for the last month. My credit was impeccable until this happened, I don't know what else to do to prove that I have not debt anymore.
