From XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX I was in the custody of the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was incarcerated in XXXX California. During this time, unknown persons tried to and have obtained credit using my information. An XXXX XXXX credit card was opened and a XXXX was purchased. I have already spoken to both companies, XXXX XXXX and XXXX regarding this and they are working with me to resolve the matter. When I was released from prison I filed a police report on XX/XX/XXXX after discovering the issue. I then proceeded to contact the 3 credit bureaus and sent in a letter explaining what had happened and to please assist me in removing these items from my credit report. I received a letter from Equifax stating they did an investigation and found the items to be mine, even after I sent them my police report, FTC report, and a copy of my intake and release documents from the XXXX XXXX XXXX.
