Consumer Narrative

I filed a complaint about harassing phone calls, bullying, calls at night and the attitude of the representatives who have contacted me when I've been close to the end of my forbearance period. I AM NOT IN DEFAULT AND HAVE NEVER EVEN ONCE DEFAULTED ON A LOAN PAYMENT. I filed a complaint about the harassing phone calls and apparently YOU, CFB, closed the complaint upon receiving WFargo 's response stating it had no record of my mortgage. Here is what ACTUALLY happened : 1. Wells Fargo send a letter to me stating it knew of the complaint. It sent to my mailing address and instead of taking the time to actually see that my mailing address is AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN different than my resident and property address, it simply pretended that it did not know this therefore affording them the excuse of 'gosh golly gee ... we have no record of a mortgage holder at <insert mailing address> ... '' 2. Wells Fargo provided a FAX # to which I was invited to send a response clarifying the property address. HOW CONVENIENT that said fax # failed to answer all weekend AND DURING STATED BUSINESS HOURS. The phone number of the individual listed in the letter ( along with the claimed hours of business ) also went unanswered. Reminder : Wells Fargo has a HISTORY of abusive and harassing behavior towards customers. Those of us who lived through several housing crises and have been on the planet for longer than 25 years remember it well. This is a tactic used to offset and justify its unacceptable behavior. FACT REMAINS that I have not defaulted EVER on my mortgage loan and am in forbearance and have adhered to every single term of the contract therefore the badgering, bullying, harassing phone calls and attitude of WF callers is completely unreasonable ... and frankly, would be unreasonable and uncalled for even were I in default. Lastly, NOBODY gets to dictate and name my 'feelings ' so please do not start with me on how my 'feelings ' are incorrect. Calling me on a Friday night to badger me about a payment not yet due or calling me on the weekend for such ( especially Saturday mornings during the hour when people of my faith are in prayer ) is absolutely unacceptable and are examples of harassment. Failing to provide an actual way to respond to the letters stating 'we have no evidence of such a mortgage holder ' is NOT A REASON TO CLOSE THIS CASE. This is deflection and frankly, straight up lying. I did my part in attempting to respond to their letters. They cleverly made response impossible by simply refusing to accept faxes via the fax # they provide for doing so and they very cleverly fail to pick up the phone during the hours and days they state they are available. There's a reason people hate Wells Fargo and it's not just past history ; it's current history too now.
