Back in late XXXX I called Mountain Run Solutions to take care of this collection for XXXX dollars. After giving them all my personal information, they still could not locate the account. At this point it seemed pretty clear that this collection was on my credit report by mistake. I then called XXXX to dispute this account because if Mountain Run can not locate the account, it should not be on my credit report. I then checked my credit report in XXXX and the account now says, This item remained unchanged from our processing of your dispute in XX/XX/2021. HOW?! It is illegal for this account to remain on my credit report if Mountain Run can not even locate it. This account needs to be removed from my report immediately.
