This company purchased an account from XXXX XXXX and sent me a letter for me to pay a debt. I filed a complaint against them already and they've admitted to doing it and by them sending me a letter stating that I owe a debt is a violation under the FDCPA and they violated other consumer laws in the letter. The company responded to the complaint saying that they disagree with my claim that they've violated any laws when it's clear evidence that they have. I am currently seeking legal advice on this matter because I sent an invoice to them for all of the violations and they didn't cooperate but did say they weren't going to continue to collect money but the damage to my character has been done through my consumer report.
