Account # XXXX - Unfortunately during the period that I have held this paid-for and settled account, I was unable to keep up the payments and fell behind. I was going through a rough patch in life. I am a XXXX mother of XXXX children who was laid off twice and lost everything in a home fire in XXXX of XXXX. I reached out to the Executive Office in XX/XX/XXXX and I was given a call and told that I wouldn't be able to receive assistance. I emailed again in XX/XX/XXXX and there hasn't been a response. I fully respect my obligations with Capital One & I have worked diligently to amend my relationship with you by regaining your trust. This spring, I was laid off a third time from the pandemic as well. A brief look at my current accounts will reveal that I have successfully made on-time payments with my XXXX, Walmart, & Platinum Accounts since my unfortunate circumstances and I made timely payments while I was laid off during the pandemic as well. Ive recently began searching for a new home for my family & it has come to my attention that because of my previous late payments with Capital One that this could hurt my ability to qualify for home loans. As you know, FICO scores are extremely important in the selection of prospective job, home, and car purchasing applicants. In light of my renewed focus & demonstrated commitment to rebuilding my trust with your company, Im requesting that you please give me a second chance at a positive credit rating by deleting the tradeline. This account is over five years old. If you are unable to delete this tradeline, please remove the late payments off the account. This second chance will allow me to pursue the home of my dreams for my family. In the meantime, I have attached the Police Report & XXXX XXXX Letter from the home fire in XXXX of XXXX and the letter of settlement from the collection agency regarding Account # XXXX ( this account has been notated as Paid at all three credit bureaus ). Thank you for your time & I look forward to receiving a favorable decision from your company soon.
