I was involved in a hit and run in XXXX of XXXX my car was minorly damaged, as a result of this accident i lost my job due to unreliable transportation, at that time in XX/XX/XXXX i spoke with American Credit acceptance and requested to voluntarily return the vehicle i submitted the address and requested auto repair quote, i had gap coverage and they said it was approved and would be taken off my credit report. in XXXX, i called again to resolve as i never received any paperwork abiut the car return and realized it was still reporting on my credit. i attempted again to return the vehicle they said they were going to settle the account and i was to receive my settlement offer. NEVER RECEIVED DOCUMENTS. called again in XX/XX/XXXX re did the same settlement process was approved again to settle and they once again never processed it. with each request i have confirmed via -phone and email records of my previous request it was confirmed but that they never processed. in the meantime they are still reporting this on my credit and inflating my future settlement amount by continuing to charge my account and reporting the vehicle still in my possession, if they would have processed my request initially i was only two months behind on my payment and the negative impact the settlement would have had would have been way less impactful. this is negligence pure and simple.
