On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a complaint to CFPB regarding Transunion 's inability to provide me ( the consumer ) with the method of verification used to verify an erroneous bankruptcy on my credit report. The complaint was filed because after attempts on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, Transunion failed to provide me any information on how this information was verified or who would've furnished this false information to them. They merely stated it was verified and this has remained on my credit report without explanation. On XX/XX/XXXX, Transunion responded to the XX/XX/XXXX CFPB complaint stating that they would get back to me in 30 days to inform me of how they planned to resolve this issue and/or provide me with their method of verification used. It is now XX/XX/XXXX, past 30 days, and I still have no answer as to how this erroneous information ended up on my credit report. At this point, this erroneous and unverified information needs to be deleted from my credit report immediately. Refer to CFPB complaint ID : XXXX
