I purchased a Ford XXXX from XXXX XXXX in Maryland. The loan was opened XX/XX/XXXX. Last four of the account XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I was diagnosed as XXXX XXXX by a Dr XXXX and put on XXXX. I didnt know what to do about my car because the doctor said I couldnt drive anymore. I reached out to Ford motor credit. I spoke with a Ford motor credit agent who said I could turn the car back in to Ford. Ford motor credit explained that they would send my car to an auction where it would be sold off. If the car sold for more than was owed on my loan. Ford would pay the car off and send me a check for the amount over what I owed. So agreed that this was the best solution since I couldnt drive anymore. I asked Ford motor credit if this would be a repossession my credit. I was told no. I was self surrender in the car back to Ford motor credit. I made arrangement for Ford to come get the car. I was worried that the DC government would ticket the car since the registration was up. I asked Ford motor credit if the could pick the car up from my cousins house Maryland. They had a drive way and the car would not get ticketed. Ford said okay and I supplied them with her address and left the key with my cousin and her husband. They took their sweet time but finally picked up the car. The car sold at auction and I received a check for the difference. Fast forward to the present and Im looking at me credit report and XXXX is showing derogatory on the Ford motor credit loan. They are showing a repossession on the vehicle I called Ford motor credit about. And I was told it would not be a repossession because I contact Ford motor credit and did a self surrender of the car. Which got paid off needless to say now its on my credit report and I want it if. Im not sure whose not telling the truth here Ford Motor credit or XXXX. Left them figure it out but it out
