I had an unbelievably horrific experience with the Bank of the West ( BOW ). I logged several complaints that referenced the errors in opening the account and subsequent errors by BOW employees. ( BOW response Dated XX/XX/ is attached ) The account was held open for the required period of time to charge off the account. Allowing the BOW to collect insurance and sell the account to collections. BOW has listed several complaints filed and has treated every complaint without variation. However, the subsequent complaints are about the errors in the XXXX XXXX response to claim/complaint filed before the closing of the account. The Bank has closed all complaints without investigation into the errors reported in the BOW letter dated XXXX XXXX. The last complaint I filed was to have XXXX Credit Reporting agency add my personal statement as I had written my own personal statement. Submitted to the CFPB on XXXX # XXXX The Bank response summarizing what the BOW feels is my complaint with no acknowledgement of the request to review its own letter of XX/XX/ and the visible errors admitted and subsequent accounting errors after the admission. I continually state there were deposit and automatic withdraw errors on the account. The XXXX XXXX admits one deposit error. However, the rest of the XX/XX/, letter does not account for the admitted BOW system error. I was harmed by the BOW computer system error as evidenced in the accounting of the letter of XXXX XXXX The last BOW response included this statement : For questions regarding account activity from XXXX and prior, please contact XXXX XXXX, Retail Customer Services Officer/Vice President at ( XXXX ) XXXX. SO, The Bank of the West should have directed XXXX XXXX to respond to the complaint ( s ). My complaint stands. I do not owe the BOW or the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I requested the account be closed in XXXX XXXX The account was not negative with the deposit in XX/XX/. The BOW did not close the account upon consumer request. The account remained open collecting fees not closed until 3 months after requested closure by the consumer. BOW disregarded an open dispute on the account and refused to investigate the damaged caused by system errors.
