I was approved for a loan with Avant in XXXX. This loan was settled as of XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a credit monitoring alert that I had a late payment. I emailed their support team via a support email provided on their website with no response. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an alert that I had a balance of {$7000.00}. I checked online with my Avant account and it showed a {$0.00} balance and that the loan was settled. I called and was hung up on three times before finally getting through to someone who transferred me to a " payment specialist ''. XXXX verified that I did have a {$0.00} balance and told me to email their resolutions department and attach any details. I sent my XXXX credit report and screen shots of my account showing {$0.00}. I can not get through nor get a reply. They violate the FCRA by 1. ) reporting 4 years after the account is settled, 2. ) reporting the account as " charged off '' rather than " settled '', and 3. ) reporting that a balance is owed when my account clearly shows a {$0.00} balance. I have disputed this to all three credit bureaus, filed a complaint with the XXXX and am now publishing a complaint here.
