On XX/XX/XXXX, I was charged an annual fee of {$95.00} for my Alliant Signature Visa credit card ( with a stated period of " XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX '' to which the annual fee applies ). An important feature of this card ( and the sole reason I applied for, and use, this card ), is a 2.5 % " cash back '' feature on all purchases up to {$10000.00}. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received notice, that EFFECTIVE AS OF XX/XX/XXXX BILLING CYCLE, my cash back rate would be reduced to 1.5 % unless I opened an Alliant Checking account with various requirements ( e.g., minimum balance, minimum deposits, etc. ). Please note that this change will be implemented mid-way through the period for which my current annual fee " covers. '' In other words, they have charged me {$95.00} as an annual fee for the stated terms and conditions ... and midway through the period, have reduced/degraded the terms and conditions. I would like a refund of my annual fee since the features that I have already paid for ( via the annual fee ) are changing midway through the annual fee cycle. This is clearly not fair.
