I received a letter in the mail from Source Receivables Management dated XX/XX/2021. This is the first letter that I received from this company. It is regarding a bill on the letter it stated that I had 30 days after receiving this notice to dispute the validity of this debt, or any portion of the debt. I sent my response letter dated XX/XX/2021, certified and per the tracking, results were delivered on XX/XX/2021. As you can see this is well within the 30-day notification window. By law, if a consumer requests validation of debt the creditor should not report this to any credit reporting agency until I have had my legal timeframe to validate the debt. I have yet to receive a response from Source Receivables Management, but just yesterday it started reporting on my credit report to every agency. This collection account needs to be deleted from my credit report as I was not given my legal right to validate this debt.
