I contacted Amerifinancial Solutions via. phone call XXXX. Upon answering they demanded for my social security number which I gave them, along with my name. I talked to an agent named XXXX. I confirmed with him that the total debt of XXXX was correct and I would be willing to pay it. I asked if when I pay it that he would clear it from my credit history, he said yes. I asked if he could send that to me in writing he said they dont give anything written and that my assurance was on the recorded phone call. This did not sit well with me, so I said I will call them back later. After thinking about it, I figured I could see if I could record on my end, the conversation as my evidence of our agreement. I called the Collector a second time, this time the agent was XXXX. XXXX said that Maryland is a two party consent State and that he did not consent to me recording. I found this odd, since their automated system stated the phone call XXXX be recorded. I ceased the call at that point. I called a third time to try to get the Company Address to make a lump sum payment and got a PO Box address. I started to feel further uneasy about this Company and researched them. I found that on XXXX about their horrid business practice. Also furthered by more negative comments on XXXX ( which Ive also filed a complaint ). I would wish to remove this debt from my credit history. Im willing to pay its full amount of XXXX however based on my research on this companys practice and my current interaction with them. I have no faith in them that my full payment would be properly applied to my debt and not removed from my credit history ( or at least, shown as Fully Paid Off ). I need help resolving this. I need a written statement on the Companys agreement with me and confidence that my full payment will be acknowledged and reflected in my credit history ( with the 3 Credit Bureaus, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, if applicable ).
