I was informed yesterday, and it was admitted by the assistant branch manager at Ameris Bank in XXXX on XXXX XXXX that my legally separated spouse was given information about an account that she is not listed on with our bank. It is a joint account that I have with my son for his social security that she is not allowed to be listed on. Instead of calling the adult listed on the account, the assistant manager admitted to breaking protocol and giving the information to them without contacting an adult listed on the account. For the record, my son is underage and has no legal form of id. This is not an account that my child knows about, he has never utilized this account, and I have informed several people at the bank prior to this event that my wife has filed for divorce when I started a new account with them.
