Consumer Narrative
YOUR COMPLAINT I ask the company to verify information on my report and they said they did with the original provider of information with the help of a third party. When they sent me the notice that they verified the information in question, I requested them to send me the method of verification and the provider of the information. The company did not respond. I call the company and reminded them that fcra a laws require them to provide the information upon request from the consumer, within a specified time frame and they did not do so. I reminded them that they are required to install information on my report from the original provider of information. The company is saying they got the information from the provider of information, and they are stating the information is obtained from a 3rd party verification. In those statements my rights of a consumer is being violated. One a third party can not provide information and the other thing is the provider of information should be listed on my report and according to the agent a third party verified information and reported it back to them. The items on my report in question are public records. On my report they are saying they verified with the Bankruptcy court, but the court said noone has challenged information that is available to the public. I informed the agent this information and they went on to say again third party gave them the information, I then said the third party is not the provider of the information and they also need to follow guidelines in providing proof that information is correct and they have not done that and the courts is saying noone has contacted them. The agent went on to say everything is done electronically. I informed him the Bankruptcy court does not provide that information electronically when there is a complaint of wrong information.I Informed the agent that my report is invalid, because the information on my report is not showing contact information of the provider of information, so that I can contact them with my concerns. The listed contact information stated they did not verify information to the Bureau and there are processes that should be followed to get information that is disputed.I sent them a letter from the bankruptcy stating they did not provide information to the credit reporting agencies and never responded to this. I am waiting for another letter from the bankruptcy court that will be a recent letter stating what I am writing in this complaint. Iwill submit it as soon as I receive. I also have yet to recieve proof of how they linked XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX to me. Fcra requires credit reporting agencies to give me that information. This is part of my file and i can request at anytime, when there is an issue. The company is falsifying my credit report. Equifax will not provide me the proof that they are following the procedures to verify accounts on my report and this is a violation of my rights and I am not getting equal opportunity for credit reporting and obtaining credit.
