The student loan account that I have a complaint about is University XXXX XXXX reporting to all 3 credit bureaus ( XXXX, Equifax and XXXX ). I have disputed this account more than 5 times because they have reported several errors to all 3 of my credit reports. During these disputes, I mailed letters out to the creditor telling them what my concerns are and why this account needs to be deleted from my credit report using my rights under the FCRA. I also mailed letters to all 3 of the credit bureaus. It always comes back " verified '' which tells me they never really looked into what I stated my concerns were but rather they just asked the creditor to validate the account. Several times I have seen that the creditor will make changes to my credit report like fixing the account number they had wrong on one of the credit bureaus or fixing the dates they reported incorrectly without actually deleting the account. This is a violation of the FCRA. other violations they have made include : 1. Reporting old debt as new or re-aged. 2. Reporting account as active when it was closed or reporting closed accounts as active. 3. Reporting late payments to XXXX and Equifax, but on time payments to XXXX. It can get very stressful paying to have letters mailed certified mail several times and waiting almost 7 months in total to get the same results that your issue wasn't even looked into but just " verified ''. When I reached out the the creditor at the beginning of the year to try to pay this debt ( before I even started disputing the errors ), she was very rude to me and even threatened to take me to court. This frightened my for a while and I started to feel hopeless. I was very confused because I called her to try to clear the debt not tell her I wasn't going to pay. If you really look into my credit reports, you will see that that is the only negative account I have on there and I am tired of it being used against me. Please if you can help me get this item deleted it will be greatly appreciated and it will also be respecting my rights under the FCRA. This item was supposed to be deleted a longtime ago when they were reporting errors and decided to change it. Attached to this complaint are other documents of proof of the violations they have made currently on my credit report. More information : Right now it states on the reports that I owe {$2700.00}. This was a federal student loan that went into Default. The account numbers, dates, and late payments haven't consistently matched. They have changed some information but some errors are still left on the account. This student loan is in loan rehabilitation. I set up a payment plan with creditor and even linked my account only to find out that their system failed and I have to actually call to pay on a random date every month because they don't have automatic payments. Regardless, it is my rights that this account is deleted from my credit report.
