This is a dispute with XXXX regarding a fraudulent application for an overdraft protection loan opened in my name by my ex-husband as a co-signer but one where I was listed as not authorized to use. My ex husband stole my identity and opened up a joint overdraft line of credit on a checking account back in XXXX. He then put me as Non-authorized user so I never knew about this account or received any info about it since the address on file was never my address. Even until today, I am unable to find out any information about this account because I am not an authorized user. He stopped paying the balance back in XXXX, after we divorced, and this account is now a negative on my credit report. When I call XXXX, they can not give me any information because Im not an authorized user. I have taken steps to clear this issue by requesting my original signature authorization or any documents that I supposedly signed to open the account. My plan was to take these documents and have them analyzed by a certified forensics handwriting expert ( I had to do this with other issues with my ex husband. He is a criminal ). They said they do not have the documents. How am I able to prove the application was fraudulent if they didnt keep the documents to analyze? As a result, they denied my claim of fraud for lack of documentation but will not tell me what documents are required. Im hoping making a complaint with the government under oath will show my complaint is legitimate.
