I am writing because I am a victim of identity theft of Wells Fargo. I did not consent to them doing a hard pull on my credit report which lead to a hard inquiry. No written consent is Identity Theft according to 15 USC 1681 consumer report exclusions. The sales rep at the store assured me that I would not get an inquiry on my credit report. I did not even want to apply for the card in the 1st place because I was making the purchase with my current cashback rewards card. Also I am currently dealing with Identity theft and have a fraud alert on my credit reports. The lady insisted that I get the wellsfargo or XXXX XXXX card through them and that I did not have to worry about the inquiry. I have tried calling wells fargo and keep getting transfered to different departments then being hung up on. The sales representative was misleading. I want these inquires removed from both XXXX and XXXX consumer reporting agencies. If this isn't fixed within 30 days I will seek monetary damages for my consumer rights that were violated and take legal action. I have filed a report with the FTC on this matter
