Back in XXXX or XXXX of XXXX, we had to go on forbearance due to the COVID crisis because my wife 's company had to close. Once we were back up and running in XXXX, we talked with AmeriHome Mortgage about a loan modification. I filled out the paperwork, submitted it and start making my monthly payments for the trial period. Once that was complete, they never gave me any updates and advised there was no movement on my modification. In XX/XX/XXXX, I was finally able to get some answers after being on the phone with several dozen people and spending well over 80 hours of my time. They advised my modification was denied due to a lien on my title. I knew there was no lien on my title so I contacted my title company and they did a search and sent me proof of a clean title. AmeriHome never allowed me to protest the findings and simply closed the modification without notifying me. Since then I have spent well over XXXX hours on the phone with nearly XXXX or more different people to continually get the run around and no assistance to help correct this issue. So right now they won't even allow me to make my monthly payment until this is resolved. I have emailed, uploaded, and mailed the clear title and loan modification application 5 times and they are still asking for the application. I have been hung up on countless times and transferred to dozens of people who still can not assist. I have requested at least 20 times to speak with a supervisor to only be told they would put the request in to have them call because they can not transfer them and then never get called back. I have never seen a company operate in such a manor and to have such gross incompetence from everyone I have dealt with. I have also never seen a company not allow you to pay them what you owe.
