I recently ended my membership with Experian, because its a ridiculous concept to pay someone who virtually stalks me. Now there is a constant banner in the app for XXXX that reads When your subscription ends in __ days, youll no longer be able to lock or unlock your credit report. With a large button underneath labeled [ Keep your subscription ]. Its a deceitful sales tactic to push people into maintaining a paid-for membership with them when legally if you ask them to freeze your credit report, they have to comply - free of charge. Its predatory, its misleading, and its wrong.
