On XX/XX/XXXX I paid a few bills on my credit report, one for XXXX XXXX with an outstanding balance ( Confirmation : XXXX ) for {$1300.00}. About a week later I signed up with XXXX XXXX to help repair my credit. After a month I noticed that charge was still on my report but being reported by Jefferson Capitol. I called them to try to give them the confirmation # and the gentleman yelled at me that " You shouldn't have paid XXXX that should have gone to us '' He told me to send over my bank statement that I had paid this so I did. Fast forward months in time and I'm still no closer to getting this taken off. I've called XXXX and Jefferson Capitol multiple times to try to get this resolved. The collection agency keeps telling me that it doesn't matter if I've paid XXXX that I still owe them another {$1300.00}. I've since sent all documentation to XXXX XXXX to send disputes to XXXX XXXX and XXXX but even if it's removed it could still show as something owed. I was told to contact you to hopefully get this taken care of. I'm trying to build my credit to help my kids go to college and I'm running out of time. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.
