I applied for a personal loan in XXXX on XX/XX/2021. A few days later XXXX told me they couldn't approve my loan because I have an active fraud alert in Equifax report, so I need to call them and have them remove the fraud alert. I called the Equifax and requested them to remove the fraud alert and they said on the phone that they removed it. So after giving sufficient time, I called XXXX back again on XX/XX/XXXX and asked them to rerun my credit report on so they could see that it was removed. They came back and said it wasn't removed. I called back Equifax and asked them to remove it again, after holding on the phone over an hour they apologized that it wasn't removed at the first time but they assured me that it was removed this time. So I called back XXXX again on XX/XX/XXXX and let them know that it was removed, so they reran my credit again and came back and said yes it was finally removed but they couldn't approve my loan because there were too many inquiries within very short time. I told them all 3 inquiries from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX were actually for the same application, they still said they couldn't approve my loan and hung up the phone. Neither XXXX nor Equifax were working with me to remove the additional 2 inquiries that actually for the same loan. If this is not a perfect example for consumer abusive practices I don't know what is. Because of these additional unnecessary inquiries my credit score dropped 50 points. I need these 2 additional XXXX inquiries to be removed from my Equifax credit report.
