I recently received a copy of my ( Equifax ) credit report and I notice there is an unauthorized/fraud credit inquiry made by ( the companies listed in this complaint ). I did not authorize these credit inquiry and I understand you shouldn't be allowed to put an inquiry on my file unless I have authorized it. I am requesting you initiate the removal process for these inquiries. Each company has received a letter sent by certified mail stating that the inquiries were not authorized, and I have requested them to be stopped. In addition, I have asked for their removal from my credit report. Under theFair Credit Reporting Act, the information provider has 30 days to report back to the credit bureau with proof that I authorized the credit inquiry. Also, in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act Section 611 ( 15 U.S.C. 1681I ), I am practicing my right to challenge questionable information that I have found on my personal credit report.
