Avant Credit Cards are a scam They pretend they are sending a card. I never receive the card.After 10 days call them back, they say we will send you another, they never did. I called, emailed, kept telling them they did not send it. They ignored me, and ignored me. I never received the card, it is a non-activated card. They went ahead, and put their annual fee of {$39.00} as a balance owed..on a never received card, never activated. This is unethical. I said I want the account closed ASAP. They replied not until you agree to pay the balance ( {$39.00} fee ) to XXXX balance. I told them I never received the card, you can not charge the annual fee. The scam is never send a card, ignore complaints that never received, so they can charge {$39.00} fee, then insist you must pay it or can not close the account. There are many many complaints on XXXX about other people never getting their cards and told they can't close the account until you pay the {$39.00}. Many complaints just like mine. This is frightening how Avant is allowed to rip off people even with credit score of only XXXX. They generate fake card numbers ... yes they do. That is how they generate the {$39.00} annual fee to make you pay it.Then if we do not pay for a fee on a card never received, they pile up late fees. Its a scam to get XXXX 's of customers to pay them a {$39.00} fee on a card never received, make me and others out to be XXXX. Then hung up on me several times telling them I never received card. Then they send me an email to pay them their annual fee {$39.00}, or late charges will be added.
