I have a credit monitoring service with experian. I recently tried to dispute balances on my two credit card accounts, I have used my XXXX credit card and have a XXXX balance but their report says XXXX balance and they lowered my credit score as a result saying that I am not using this account I also have updated or paid the balance on my XXXX XXXX credit card ( from XXXX to XXXX ) when I try to dispute this on the online dispute site it says submission failed so blocking me from submitting my disputes. When I reached out to an agent they said my only option was to cancel my credit monitoring account with experian. I also paid off my entire mortgage balance after 10 years of exceptional payment history and experian lowered my credit score! I paid off a mortgage in 10 years time, that should be considered a good thing! I also reached out to experian about unauthorized charges to a XXXX XXXX account from a company called XXXX List that resulted in late payment reports on my credit account. After disputing this with the company they agreed to take these off as the charges were unbeknownst to me but experian still has not removed them. Experian is preventing me from submitting disputes about updating credit card balances, lowering my credit score when I pay off something huge, and not taking action on disputes about unauthorized charges. I had exceptional credit before I signed up for credit monitoring with them and now my credit is in the fair range. This is not fair to me and my payment history reflects a lot higher score than what experian is reporting. This need to be fixed as it is illegal to block consumers from disputing items on their credit report.
