I spoke directly with the consumer reporting agencies on XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX after noticing multiple new inquiries on my consumer reports and was instructed to contact the 'creditors '. After doing so, no accounts were found using my credit card number ( social security card ) but no person was willing to remove the inquiries pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 1681c2, 15 USC 6802, or otherwise. I gave mention of a previous FTC report filed # XXXX and the consumer reporting agency claimed they never received it. INQUIRIES : XXXX XXXX ( on Transunion ) XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Transunion ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) Because the 'creditors ' received no expressed permission or consent, nor extension of credit from me, the original creditor, and refuse to abide by the laws set out in the Fair Credit Reporting Act, they are now criminally liable per 15 U.S. Code 1611. Per 15 U.S. Code 1681c2, the consumer reporting agencies must remove said inquiries in the next 4 days and criminally liable per 15 USC 1611 for denying my request for removal and not upholding the laws of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. 15 U.S.C 1681 states : " The banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate credit reporting. Inaccurate credit reports directly impair the efficiency of the banking system, and unfair credit reporting methods undermine the public confidence which is essential to the continued functioning of the banking system. An elaborate mechanism ( consumer reporting agencies ) has been developed for investigating and evaluating the credit worthiness, credit standing, credit capacity, character, and general reputation of consumers. Consumer reporting agencies have assumed ( assumed, meaning appointed themselves. They are not a government agency ) a vital role in assembling and evaluating consumer credit and other information on consumers. There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' I am submitting this complaint to hold these consumer reporting agencies accountable as my rights to privacy and my reputation as an original creditor and consumer is negatively impacted by these fraudulent inquiries. Per 15 U.S. Code 1681a, " the term consumer report does not include ( A ) subject to section 1681s3 of this title, any ( i ) report containing information solely as to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the person making the report ; '' Inquires are a transaction and/or experience between a consumer and the person ( or organization ) making the report. Having these inquiries on my consumer report is a violation.
