I was in forbearance under the CARES act due to COVID 19 with my original lender ( XXXXXXXX XXXX ). I received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX about a VA trial plan offer. I started making trial payments with my original lender XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. The trial payment amount agreed to with XXXX XXXX was in the amount of XXXX, and my interest rate was staying the same at 2.875 % under the modified terms. My maturity date was moved from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX as a result of them " tacking the balance onto the end of the mortgage '' After I made my first trial payment, my loan was sold to my current servicer ( ( Lakeview Loan Servicing ) XXXX ) effective XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted them several times throughout the month of XXXX attempting to make a trial payment for XXXX, but was told I could not repeatedly due to my mortgage being " in review ''. I was told not to worry since I was within a 60 day grace period, and the underwriters were waiting on and reviewing information sent to them from XXXXe Bank. I have attempted throughout all of XXXX and XXXX on at least 5 occasions to pay my mortgage trial payments, but have been rebuffed at every turn. I was informed earlier this week by XXXX that my interest rate would be increasing to 3.5 %, and my new payment would be somewhere around {$2100.00} a month. I was not aware a credit report was run against me without my knowledge, but was informed that is what I qualified for due to my credit. On XXXX and XXXX I asked for any documents from this decision to be given, but was told that I'll get them eventually and I can either turn it down or accept the modification Turning it down means paying the owed balance of $ XXXX, which I don't currently have. I also asked if XXXX was aware of my previous trial payment plan with XXXXXXXX XXXX, and they did not offer any acknowledgement. I can not leave this lender without paying $ XXXX, or making my on-time trial payments. They have removed my ability to successfully make my trial payments, and are attempting to increase my interest rate arbitrarily.
