Name : Mariner Finance Type : Individual / Applicant Account : XXXX Collection Term : 48 Months Installment, Secured Date Opened : XX/XX/XXXX In XX/XX/XXXX at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I applied for a personal loan which was denied, but I was offered an opportunity to refinance my vehicle for extra money. However, unaware of this banks predatory lending practices, I was not informed that my new loan would not include GAP insurance until AFTER I had completed the loan process and signed the paperwork. Nevertheless, for the first 5 months from XX/XX/XXXX brought XX/XX/XXXX my payments went smoothly. Unfortunately, in XX/XX/XXXX, I contracted XXXX and suffered from long term symptoms which prohibited me from working and ultimately led to late payments from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX when I applied for bankruptcy. From XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, I attempted, unsuccessfully, to contact the bank in reference to a forbearance or deferral or any type of payment relief due to COVID-19 under the CARES Act. I am requesting that Mariner Finance do not report late payments to the credit bureaus in accordance with the requirements of the CARES ACT.
