On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, through their payer source XXXX charged a deposit of {$2400.00} for a river cruise to my Discover credit card. The cruise did not happen due to the covid crisis. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, through their payer source XXXX refunded {$2700.00} to the same Discover account. I never received the refund to that account because the account had been closed in early XXXX due to a fraudulent charge made on that account. I was issued a new credit card number through Discover. Discover claims they can't see any information involving the initial account. I have spent hours on the phone and in on-line chats with a whole host of Discover personnel since XXXX. I have gotten nowhere - Discover denies having received the money and then the last time I spoke with a Discover representative I was told they had returned the money to XXXX but refused to provide any proof of this transaction. XXXX states they have not received the money from Discover. I am attaching my letter to Discover on XX/XX/XXXX, the statement with the initial charge, a letter from an XXXX represnetative, and transaction records of both the charge and the refund from XXXX. I need help and am hopefully you can assist me.
