I mailed a letter to Equifax on XX/XX/2021 and XXXX on XX/XX/2021 letting these companies know that there are two accounts showing up on my credit profile that does not belong to me and requested that these two accounts be block and removed. I also contacted the creditors furnishing these account on XX/XX/2021 and requested proof of ownership and have yet to receive any documentation. Despite me providing appropriate proof of the identity, copy of an identity theft report, and a statement identifying the information, these companies still did not remove and block the XXXX account # XXXX account and XXXX XXXX XXXX account # XXXX from my file as regulated by law. According to the FCRA 605B ( 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 ), a consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from an alleged identity theft, not later than 4 business days after the date of receipt by such agency. Failure to respond satisfactorily with deletion of the above referenced account and a free copy of my report after the changes have been made will result in the above actions being taken against your company ; I will also be seeking {$1000.00} per violation for : 1. ) Defamation 2. ) Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud 3. ) Violation of 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2
