Consumer Narrative
On Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from XXXX stating that my credit score went down by XXXX points. I called XXXX to inquire why and they could not provide an explanation. The only information they provided was that in XX/XX/XXXX they received a late payment from XXXX XXXX. I settled this dispute with XXXX ; however, they refused to notify XXXX since the account was paid out. The account was actually in my daughter 's name and XXXX never notified me and let me know that the account had not been paid. In looking at my credit history it is quite evident that I do not make late payments. What happened with XXXX XXXX was an unfortunate situation and I plan on leaving them this year for poor services. They allowed my daughter to continue the account just so it could benefit them. When she left the copy they allowed her to leave with her same exact phone number. Years prior they transferred XXXX name off of my account so she could have her own account but when they could not get their money they held me accountable stating they had never made the transfer. They were paid in full in the same day I found out my credit score had dropped and the only way I found out was by me checking my credit report. Due to my payment history I do not feel like this is something that should be held against me. Since XX/XX/XXXX my score came to an XXXX. I have done everything XXXX recommended to boost my score only for them to decrease it. I received in email from XXXX today explaining ways my credit score could drop ; however none of the issues on the list applied to me, not one. As far as XXXX XXXX they made a huge mistake and did not wish to own up to it, which is the reason they are losing customers by the minute. This is the last year I will have services with them. They did not wish to own up to their mistake. my score as of XXXX XXXX, XXXX was XXXX and XXXX has not provided any evidence to justify why it went down such a huge drop. I have goals but how can I meet them if people are deliberate setting a trap for me to achieve those goals. Attached you will find information sent to me from XXXX explaining six ways my credit core could drop. None of these things applied to me. The only thing they could use was XXXX XXXX. Since XXXX XXXX my score was increasing. I just do not understand this. Please help me address my concerns. I am also having a huge problem with Equifax due to the fact that they will not remove comments off my credit, which state that I have too many delinquent accounts. I have no delinquent accounts. When I called them and spoke to them about this problem they stated that everything was generated by a computer and they had no control over it. There's is no way you can't go in manually and correct a false error on someone's credit report. Even when I spoke with XXXX they could not find any delinquencies on my credit report. I have not checked with XXXX because you have to pay for their membership and I can not afford another membership. Just about everything they said was affecting my credit is fraudulent. I have an excellent payment history. What happen if the computer puts out false information. that's almost like going to the bank and having a XXXX balance because the computer had a mechanical error. Their issue was just unacceptable. There's no way they can tell me that they can not fix this problem. I would also like for XXXX to check my credit report for these errors. I have an exceptional payment history and I should be given the correct scores, which reflect the correct information. In XXXX of XXXX I went on the Car Lot to get a brand new car ; however, because the comment " Too Many Delinquent Accounts '' was used by Equifax Credit Reporting, the dealer would only sell me a XXXX car, which should have sold for around {$12000.00}. I needed a vehicle because my current vehicle broke down. I was declined by a lender ; however, XXXX XXXX accepted the loan and the payment was for six year at almost 7 % interest rate. I felt like they deliberately set the interest so high because of the error found on my credit report. I went on that car lot with an XXXX Credit Score from XXXX ; however, because of Equifax I had to walk off the car lot with something used, which was not worth the money I put in it. XXXX XXXX took advantage of the opportunity. It is lenders like these that are glad credit reports have errors because they can take advantage of consumers. There is no way I should not have been able to get that loan at around 3 % interest and paying on it for 6 years is ridiculous ; all because Equifax reports whatever their computer system puts out? Well, what if it is incorrect. they owe consumers the right to correct it, update it, and ensure that it is putting out correct information. I feel like XXXX XXXX cheated me in this deal and even with that comment on their I should not have had to pay almost twice what the interest rate should have been on a used vehicle. Dealers do not care unless they get commissioned. In this case it was XXXX XXXX of XXXX, Georgia.
