To Whom It May Concern, I noticed the student loan on my Credit Report about 6 years ago. I immediately reached out the companies that were listed on the loan to report this inaccurate information and that I never attend school or sign up for a school financing loan. I was told to contact the school that was listed, and they should be able to help me. So, I searched XXXX XXXX XXXXL and the number listed was disconnected and no longer in service. So, I called back to the student loan company and then was told that school had closed and was under another name by XXXX XXXX. I tried to reach XXXX college and was told the school closed a few years ago also. So, I called the loan company back and was told when a school closes it must submit all its files to the state and I may be able to receive a copy of the transcripts. So, I contacted the XXXX of XXXX for the state of Wisconsin. I waited almost 3 months and then when I called back was told the records couldnt be found and I would need to contact the 3 major credit bureaus to handle this if it was fraud. I have since been sending letters month in and month out to try and get this removed from my credit report. I was told by the Credit Bureau to file a police report even if it happened years back which I did. I was told to file an FTC Identity theft report which I did. FTC report number XXXX. I sent this into the Credit Bureau and waited nearly 30 days to be told the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX validated this information and it could not be removed. Thats what I have been told repeatedly. My last attempt I was told by the supervisor to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to see if I can do a signed Affidavit stating I never had any student loans that I signed up for or nor did I attend any school by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX. I did this also < affidavit stating I have no knowledge of this account and never made payments to this account. I was told a payment was NEVER made on it. I waited on the process. DOE ask for more information like an old DL or something bearing my signature after I sent my current XXXX DL. I did that also. Then I was contacted by an advocate for DOE and she just plainly stated.. This is your loan and you have to pay it. Nothing else we can do about it contact the collection agency and work with them. I continue to fight to get this removed - XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX said they will finally remove this account due to fraud. But Transunion is stating they can only open a dispute which I have done almost 22 times and still they have not removed it. I need help and someone to step in for this is not right. This account was reported to them on XX/XX/XXXX which according to FTC rules I can request to at least have it removed due to statutory limits of the 7 year tradeline rule. XXXX was the first to remove this account as fraud like 2 years ago.
