CBF Services is reporting collection accounts on my credit file that need to be removed. I recently took a look at my credit and noticed a few collections reporting on my file. I however, never received any calls or notices about this debt. This violates my 30 day right to dispute under both the FCRA and the FDCPA. Since it is now reporting on my credit regardless, I ask that they provide validation. This is not a request for verification of the debt but validation that I have any legal obligation to pay CBF Services. Reporting invalidated debt to any of the three major credit bureaus can constitute fraud under both federal and state laws. If any negative mark continues to report on my credit I will not hesitate in bringing legal action for violation of the FDCPA. During this validation period all credit reporting should cease and desist. If validation can not be made within 30 days, all references to accounts must be completely removed from my credit file.
