I made a call when I was struggling to make my monthly student loan payments about possible repayment options. They told me that if purposely missed my scheduled payment someone from their " hardship '' department would reach out to me within a few days to talk about repayment options. I did this and waited a few days and did not hear from any such department so I called again and was told that their hardship department was actually collections and there are no repayment options. I was completely mislead to believe that if I didn't make my scheduled payment a department would reach out to me directly about repayment options. I am still struggling to make payments and have received little to no help from the loan company.
