Consumer Narrative
In a previous complaint I transposed XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXXrefuses to remove the information. XXXX and XXXX both removed the information. All three -- XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX-- were reporting Wells Fargo information that Wells Fargo was fraudulently reporting to them. I made payments on one student loan account at Wells Fargo. In XX/XX/2019 I asked Wells Fargo to place the account in deferment because the student was still in school. They verbally agreed, sent me a notice on their " secure email '' portal that they could do so on my XX/XX/XXXXaccount but would need to speak to others if I wanted any assistance on credit card payments. I did not need assistance with the credit cards and did nothing along that line. One dirty little secret is that WF sets up additional student loans under the same account but with " sub-account '' numbers. I made payments via the top level account. I checked my account in XXXX and the account appeared to be properly deferred and not requiring payments. Suddenly in XXXX XXXXtwo_ delinquent accounts showed up on my credit reports, both from WF. One account showed " pays as agreed '' in XXXX then 30-days-late in XXXX. The other account showed " pays as agreed '' in XXXX then XXXX_60-days-late__ in XXXX. I immediately called WF, paid everything they said was owed, and they indicated they would remove the reported delinquencies. They never did. And their " secure email '' is apparently no longer in the system and does not show up in my " secure email '' portal any more. 1. It is IMPOSSIBLE in this universe for an account to go from " pays as agreed '' to 60-days-late in a single month. This alone is FRAUD. 2. Wells Fargo buries the fact that even though you have one main account number, and make payments on that one main account number, that all of the " sub-accounts '' are reported individually. This is also FRAUD because it is like a credit card company claiming that each transaction is a separate " account ''. I had two student loan TRANSACTIONS with WF. They were paid under ONE ACCOUNT NUMBER. But reported as two accounts? And then, the one account on which I was paying goes from " pays as agreed '' to *BOTH* 30-days-late *AND* 60-days-late??? FRAUD. I talked to Wells Fargo MANY times to attempt to resolve but they refused to remove the fraudulently reported information. I disputed multiple times with all three reporting agencies. But their online dispute forms make it very difficult to explain precisely WHY the information is wrong, so it kept coming back onto my reports. I finally submitted disputes via the " other '' reason that allowed me to enter an explanation. XX/XX/XXXXremoved the information. And it has stayed off. XX/XX/XXXXremoved the information. And it has stayed off. XX/XX/XXXXREFUSES TO REMOVE THE INFORMATION. It is ALSO an impossibility in this universe that Wells Fargo allowed XX/XX/XXXXand XX/XX/XXXXto remove the fraudulent information but told XX/XX/XXXXto keep it. MORE FRAUD.
