Our property taxes are escrowed with our mortgage company : Dovenmuehle. Our XXXX property taxes were due XX/XX/XXXX but Dovenmuehle failed to pay these taxes. I received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX informing us that our property taxes were delinquent on XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately contacted Dovenmuehle and was finally able to find out that they had sent the tax payment and a portion of the late fees via regular mail. I received a 2nd letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX informing me that there was still {$50.00} due in late fees and that they have placed a lien on our property! I immediately went to and paid the remaining {$50.00} out of our own pocket to ensure that our house was not foreclosed due to Dovenmuehle 's lack of action. I have spoken on the phone to Dovenmuehle at least 3 times : XXXX and supervisor Candle on XX/XX/XXXX, supervisor XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ( who was supposed to follow-up with me but never did ), and supervisor XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Each time I was advised to email XXXX. I emailed this email address on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I received a response on XX/XX/XXXX that " Our records indicate that we disbursed to the XXXX County on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$3600.00} from your escrow account. We are next scheduled to disburse the anticipated amount of {$3100.00} in XX/XX/XXXX. '' This amount does not include the {$50.00} that was still outstanding so I contacted Dovenmuehle via phone and spoke to supervisor XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. He again advised that I send proof of payment to XXXX. He confirmed receipt of the documentation on XX/XX/XXXX and assured me that it would be addressed and he would confirm with me XX/XX/XXXX. I never heard from him again. After resending the information on XX/XX/XXXX, I finally received an email response on XX/XX/XXXX that " Our records indicate that this matter was researched thoroughly, and it was determined that your taxes are paid current. We are next due to disburse a {$3600.00} tax payment on your behalf to the XXXX County Tax Commissioner in XX/XX/XXXX. '' I responded again on XX/XX/XXXX with documentation stating that they still owed us {$50.00} but don't expect a response. Hours on the phone over at least 3 calls and 5 emails later, we are still out {$50.00} with a lien on our record for 7 years. The customer service at Dovenmuehle is atrocious!
