This complaint is for the timeshare company XXXX by XXXX. We spoke with XXXX XXXX who claimed he's a realtor & manager XXXX XXXX, both claimed to not work on commission. They said we were making a good financial investment especially for our kids. They told us that the purchase will have some tax benefits, similar to owning a second home. We were promised gifts of 3-day vacation, {$100.00} slot machine, $ XXXX. We were also pressured to do an upgrade by telling us that it's the last chance to upgrade at the lowest price. They had us open a credit card, and they are the ones who signed the application for me. They never gave us enough time to read the contract and we were never made aware of the fees. They promised us that after we pay the loan, we won't be paying maintenance fees anymore. They also made us believe that we would make money from the timeshare. They never discussed how cancellation process works, they didn't even informed us as to how many days we have to be able to cancel. I called the following week and spoke to someone named XXXX from XXXX to cancel but obviously it was never cancelled. We experienced financial difficulties due to this timeshare, we couldn't buy groceries at some point & we even have to take a loan to pay for the credit card. At our age, we already have some medical conditions & having this timeshare is causing us being unable to sleep because of the stress we get. Everytime things got worse in dealing with them, they kept promising things would be positively different but it never gotten any better. I had the worst experience with this timeshare, all the lies XXXX and everyone else told us during the buying process, we felt we have been taken advantage of for commission, we can't believe the lies were legal or that they were even allowed to lie to people in order to get them. We were simply defrauded, this is a scam.
