MY MORTGAGE COMPANY XXXX XXXX GAVE ME THEIR NUMBER FOR EQUIFAX AT XXXX. THIS NUMBER CONNECTED ME TO A SCAMMER. THE AUTOMATED CAME ON FIRST AND ASKED FOR MY NAME, I PUT IN THE FIRST LETTER AND IMMEDIATELY A MAN WITH A FOREIGN ACCENT CAME ON THE LINE AND REQUESTED MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. I IMPULSIVELY GAVE IT TO HIM. THEN REALIZED THIS WAS NOT RIGHT. I TOLD HIM I FEEL UNCOMFORTAGBLE. HE RESPONDED, " I UNDERSTAND. '' I IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP AND CALLED XXXX AT XXXX XXXX. SHE TOLD ME SHE GAVE THIS NUMBER TO OTHER CUSTOMERS WITHOUT A PROBLEM.
