In a recent review of my credit report, I discovered several accounts and hard credit inquiries that I find to be problematic to my credit reputation. Hence, I am requesting investigation, removal, and dispute of these unauthorized inquires and accounts straightaway. Further, I am also requesting the names, addresses and telephone numbers of individuals you contacted during your investigation. A credit investigation is supposed to involve reviewing documents, researching facts, interviewing witnesses, or comparing handwriting. I am a victim of identity theft. The information listed below, which appears on my credit report, does not relate to any transactions that I have made. In light of Section 605B of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I am writing this letter to request an investigation and then removal, suppression, dispute, block and deleted of the fraud and mistaken accounts as well as information. In the past, my purse was stolen, which contained my ID. Following this event, someone used my name, Social Security number, date of birth, and other identifying information, without my authority, to commit fraud. On a day-to-day basis, I have been receiving harassing phone calls from some debt collectors. All of the debt collection agencies are committing actions that are prohibited by law. It is my understanding that debt collectors may not harass, oppress or abuse debtors or any third parties they contact. I have also been threatened to be taken to court if I do not pay these debts. These phone calls are completely oppressive, harassing, and burdensome. I have not done any business with any of these companies and I did not authorize any of these dealings. All of these dealings occurred without my consent and I did not initiate these inquires. As such, it should be blocked from appearing on my credit report pursuant to section 605B of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S. Code 1681, 15 U.S. Code 1692g and 15 U.S. Code 1601. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, credit reporting is voluntary, not mandatory. I did not consent to information to be used against me. I hereby request to remove, suppress, block or dispute these unauthorized accounts immediately. Further, I believe the information is a result of identity theft ; thus, please stop reporting information about me to consumer reporting agencies. Supporting documents are enclosed with this letter.
