We used Security National Mortgage ( A Team - XXXX XXXX ) because we were led to believe we would get some extra benefit for using the preferred lender of our home builder, XXXX XXXX. XXXX of the big considerations for us was that we were told that we would get {$5000.00} off of the purchase price of our home for using the lender. This benefit alone presented enough benefit to justify switching lenders. At closing on XX/XX/2021 we were told something completely different than what was explained and emailed to us. The purchase price was not adjusted. Our next concern is that we had a 100 % VA funded home loan and were told we would get our earnest money back because we were doing no down payment. Again, at closing on XX/XX/2021 we found that we were not getting our earnest money back. We were deceived and misled by our lender and proper disclosure was not provided about how the benefits would work. Had we known how this process was going to work we would have stayed with our original lender because there was no real cost saving for using the preferred lender.
