In XX/XX/XXXX I was informed by a mortgage lender that there was a judgment on my public record for {$2500.00} that was filed in XX/XX/XXXX. After researching to see what it was from, it was determined to be from XXXX XXXX. I had no knowledge of this at that time and wasnt given the opportunity to appear in court. I had been paying XXXX XXXX directly and made a final payment in XXXX of XXXX. However, they are also still reporting it as a collections account for {$160.00}, but never informed the court that payments were made resulting in inaccurate information on my public record. Currently, I have this double reporting for the same debt in two different amounts and the collection agency ( Stenger and Stenger ) has not responded to verbal or written requests to resolve this, by updating the court and/or providing me with current documentation, which is preventing me from closing on a home during a highly competitive market and putting me at risk of losing it.
