The lease on a XXXX XXXX XXXX ended on XX/XX/XXXX. Due to the Covid19 pandemic the dealers were closed, and i was unable to return the car on time. I did pay for an additional month. I finally reached a person at XXXX XXXX, and returned the car on XX/XX/XXXX. The dealership was still closed at the time. Due to covid 19 my wife and i were not about to go looking for another car. We did not even go to the supermarket. We had food delivered from XXXX. We did not visit friends. For a year we pretty much went nowhere. We both have health issues. A year later i get a notice from XX/XX/XXXX that i owe {$460.00} because i did not lease another car within 60 days of lease end. If i had leased another car i would not owe the money. This seems like extortion or coercion. Since my wife and i were both fully vaccinated, and the virus has eased, we did lease a XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXXXX/XX/XXXXstill wants the {$460.00} because it was more than 60 days from the prior lease end. Can you please help. Thanks.
