On XX/XX/2021 I received an email stating that my " MoneyLion XXXX XXXX '' accounthad been approved. I never applied for this account. I was able to access the website, which used my email address as my user name and I chose " forgot password '' so I could change it and access the account. I found out that someone had fraudulently applied for and got approved for an account in my name, using an old address that I haven't lived at for over 5 years. There was a {$190.00} available balance with a routing number of XXXX ( I have no accounts with that routing number ). I immediately contacted MoneyLion customer service and reported this as fraud, and they sent me an email confirming that the account was closed on XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXX XXXX MST. It was odd too because the customer service representative started asking me for very personal information, including my date of birth and social security number, so she could make sure she was closing the " right account ''. I informed her that she should already have this information and I refused to give it to her over the phone. I also locked my credit at that time with all three major bureaus. Since then, I have been receiving numerous emails from Moneylion asking me to " activate '' my card, etc. I have forwarded these emails to MoneyLion customer service asking them to stop sending them to me since the account was purportedly closed.
